As the weather has began to get hotter, i have noticed lots of small skinks sunbathing on the bricks of my house. It got me thinking, can they be kept?
I looked on google for information, but couldnt find anything usefull.
Anyone know how to keep them? especially what to feed them, and what type of enclosure to keep them in.
Also, anyone know how to catch them? theyre really fast

First thing to do is to check with your local laws as to whether it is even legal to do so...

Here is a link I found which should be able to fill you in on keeping reptile (and skinks) as pets in Australia.

the aussie skinks are easy to care for, but so much easier to get your liscence and get them from a shop.
And you're in australia ffs, if you're going to take something from the wild, there's more interesting stuff than common skinks, ie, inland taipans.

Well, for the beginning elapid keeper, Dave has a mentally retarded taipan that he could part with for the right price. It doesn't know how to use its tongue.

Or, better yet, just save up some money and get a pair of Womas.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

If you are interested in keeping reptiles why not get a licence and buy from a registered breeder so the creature is captive bred. Catching something that is happily roaming in your local area seems mean.

And don't forget a hefty life insurance policy so that your loved ones can live the high life once you get bitten and die a quick death.

Not sure where in Aus you are but here is some info for NSW licences. If you google I am sure you will find the right one for your state

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

My parents would never ever ever let me get a snake, or spider, or scorpion for that matter
