lovely shots of the two calico's.

can i ask, just beginning and keith, when your tortoiseshell/calico ladies were kittens, were they very very fluffy? i am wondering how similiar our kitty might be to your cats when she grows up, is all. she is quite a fluffy one as you can see on the pictures, but are all kittens fluffy will she grow out of it?

wow super pictures that really made me smile, keith!

thats interesting about the fluffiness, seems as though from what you have both said that little kitty will be a long haired lovely when she grows up

we shall all have to make friends with the cat brush methinks..

and i thought of another name for her from grizabella.. Bella

We rescued Tortie Mother (did belong to next door)she had both of her litters in our home. The second litter photo was born when she was under 18 months old. The first litter nearly killed her. If Tortie had not received propper care and attention she would have died soon after giving birth to this litter. She layed on a full persiam red within 6hrs overnight I could not revive it. She was so weak each kitten was born in my hand. Also Tortie did not move from her box for five days I had to feed her from my hand.

As you can see the litter was a mix two full persian, the two torties about 3/4 and poor old tabby was a real short hair but the most cuddly . Apprently Tortie had at least two boy friends hence the combinations.

Tortie cleaning Grizabella.
As far as being fluffy yes and is still more persian than her mother.

Well mum got Molly full-grown, but I don't think all kittens are fluffy. I'd say she'll stay that way when she grows up!

soooo.. i remembered the camera.

heres a link to some pictures i took of the new kitten.. they are on a little site which i knocked up to show 'em. took forever considering how basic it is!

now we think it must be a girl, as only 1 in 1000 tortoiseshell cats are male, its a gene/X and Y chromosome thang..

so, still no name yet.. not sure if spike is either a cat name or a girl name !!

edit: male, not female 1/1000 !!

Here is Priscilla a beautiful Grey/Blue Cream. We regually baby sit her, she is about 6yld and extremly placid. She just lays looking out the window, when she is not sleeping or eating.

Recently while the owner was getting their driveway dug out with some very noisy and heavy equipment. Priscilla was staying with us and did she preform growling and all the rest of it (We live opposite) and she can see her home very easly. As if to say what who are these noisy things in my home.

Hi Malaikah, yes they're a specific breed called Abyssinians, though Elli also has a bit of Somali blood as well, which gives her a slightly softer fur. They're both very sweet little creatures, who want a lot of attention. Viivi is a bit of a rascal though and tends to do stuff that she isn't allowed to whenever we leave the room.
