lol

To begin with, I don't play with it that way, I don't stick it out and all that stuff, I just roll it around my teeth inside my mouth...

As for infections, I've only had one that was VERY minor and that's literally because when I was changing it I wasn't paying attention and stabbed the crap outta my tongue. It wasn't bad and it was gone in a couple days (like a cold sore)...

Now as for seeing you with a tongue stud, I can't really say because most people who get one...I don't see it. They don't stand out unless you stick your tongue out or play with it outside your mouth. So actually, I CAN see you with one...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

But if you were to roll a tongue stud around _inside_ ure mouth, you could damage your teeth as well.. :-P It's a lose-lose situation.

I wear plastic studs specifically because metal ones do hurt if I bite down on them. I've already bitten plastic ones quite a few times and the worst thing that's happened is that I actually broke one of the balls in half on one of the studs...

I have 2 holes in each ear...and I'm having a craving for another piercing. I can't get my bellybutton done, b/c although I have permission, I train all year round and don't have time to let it heal. So I'm thinking to get my ears pierced a third time...

Thoughts?

You'll regret it later if you have a ton. Think about interviewing for college, grad school, jobs - what impression do you want to send?

Sis, wait some time and then see how you feel...If you feel you need to get something pierced, get your belly button done, then get one of those big bandaids to cover it, till it heals, and use neosporin or something of the sort to help heal it faster...Big Sis

Shannen, you're pierced and tatted? What do you have?

definately other
how about your nostril? I have one and I love it!! I get tons of compliments. I've also had my septum pierced and wore a teeny tiny gold hoop which was really cool but it may be too much at your tender age. There are also a bunch of other ear piercings you could get (I can give you a site to look at) that are pretty cool. Belly buttons can take a while to totally heal (up to 6 months) and you would have to be really careful with it.

ink can be very addictive, I'm planning on getting my 7th as soon as I get my tax return.

heidi, I've long since removed the piercings. I did my tongue. That lasted for about a week. Then I've pierced my left nip 2 times. Found out that piercing thru scar tissue really really hurts. Then found out door jams and that sort of piercing do not a good mix make. <----OUCH!:#(

I have tribal on both arms, and a lil tribal piece on my upper right chest.

I'll see about getting you a pic this weekend.

Jamie, and others, I'd really like the bellybutton, but unfortunately due to gymnastics I can't get it done right now, too many meets/competitions/practices. And I can't take time off...

Looks like the bellybutton will have to wait till my last meet of my senior year. :#(

Third hole in each ear for now. I think...Keep voting.

I like the belly button idea. I have mine done and have had it for...OMG like 6 years. As long as you keep it clean it will not take that long to heal. Just be careful not to get it stuck on your belt or anything while it's healing...THAT HURTS!!!

The only reason I got my thirds done is because I couldn't get my belly button done. (Just doesn't work for someone who's overweight... sigh.) I'd personally go for navel, but I can see your issues with training. I love my thirds, though.

And despite the comment about future job interviews and whatnot... I've found some very classy pairings (tiny gold and diamond studs, anyone?) that make having thirds acceptably suitable. Of course, the fact that my hair can easily hide the numerous piercings (thirds and my left cartilage) doesn't hurt things if worse comes to worse. *shrugs*

I used to find navel piercings just... blah... now I seem to be absolutely fascinated! I can't possibly walk past a display of the jewelry without wanting one!

Note about thirds though. I, personally, have soft cartilage that comes down pretty low... my thirds are set in soft cartilage. It doesn't take as long as normal, hard cartilage to heal, but it does take longer than the normal lobes. Also, the higher up on your ear you go, the better the jewelry you want to use. I've found stainless steel is a bad choice (though cheaper)... I itched like crazy until I had to find my original 14k gold studs and shove them in. (I had a worse reaction than my sister, though... found out I'm vaguely allergic to stainless steal. *rolls eyes*)

I've found piercings are addictive... I'm tempted to keep going right up my ear.

an ear piercing or two is fine, my wife even had her BB pierced, BUT too many piercings looks gross (IMO), keep it simple and cool, no need to over do it. More than 2 piercings just becomes a statement or plee for attention. At least it does for some people. You are beautiful enough, don't make yourself look "cheap"!

Didn't mean to offend anyone...sorry if I did....it's just my opinion...

I don't think it's really a statement. I just happen to like piercings. *shrugs* It's just something that I wanted to do. If it were a statement, I wouldn't have pierced things that no one would see on a normal basis.

Besides, I have enough earrings to pierce my ears from lobe to the top of both ears and be able to change the earrings everyday for a few weeks without using the same one twice. ...Says the girl who generally leaves her earrings in for a week or more at a time.
