My bro is in NY and I was wondering what sorta aquarium stuff I could get him to buy (keeping in mind that power outlets are differant here and customs are heavy here).

The only thing I can come up with is a python gravel vac. Can he get one of these at walmart?

He could get filter media.

And a T-shirt for you that says "my brother went to new york and all I got was this bag of carbon" .

I hope he enjoys it here, New York is the best. I don't know what kind of equipent you have over there, but I don't think it would be much different than ours.

Maybe you can ask him to bring back some local wildlife for your fish tank. How would you like a nice tank full of radioactive minnows? Or maybe a 3-headed salmon?

nice suggestions!

I think I'll ask him to get me a surface skimmer. They appear to be half price compared to our pricing.

How much does TPH cost over there? They are $16 per issue here. What a rip off. I saw the other day that TPH has a special offer of $19 for a years subscription! The mark up on that mag is rediculous.

Troy, if Aussie prices are anyhting like NZ, then he should get you EVERYTHING while he's over there! Filter media... filters... tank chemicals & meds... books... test kits... :%)

*places order for python gravel vac*

I agree with whetu, get him to buy whatever he can get back through Aus customs.

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
