It's a colour changing case fan for my computer. When the air going out is below 26C it's blue, then gradually changes to pink until it goes totally pink at 33C. The bad news - exhaust air from my case is coming out at 33C, a tad hot!!

I got one of those PCI exhaust cards too to keep my graphics card cool, just ordered another one to put above my graphics card to try and cool my cpu/northbridge better. All the games I play need my GPU to be cool, else it corrupts badly, but I'd love to get my CPU temp below 55C, it's at 60 atm, spiking to 64 when I stress it, with auto shutdown enabled at 70.

So how do other people cool - or does noone else worry about it but me!! My mates watercool, but that is too scarey!!!!!

I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium. That would explain some of the things down there, some of the unearthly biological contraptions

Hi,
The REALLY FANCY ones come with an actual built in air
conditioner!
Normally, with "our" computers, a rising temperature can
be attributed to dust accumulation, or the bearings in the
fans beginning to bind up and slow down. Since it sounds
like you are in and out of your machine with some regularity
it is probably not dust buildup. I'd try, using a syringe,
some wd40 oil ( a drop or two) in the fan under the label.
(Lift up the top, and peel up the rubber button and that
exposes the shaft and "C" ring that holds the fan onto
the shaft. A drop or two of wd 40 type oil will keep it
running full speed.)

If you are overdriving the chip for your games, look in
the various catelogs and purchase the next step up in
cuft output fan and install them in your computers in
place of what is there now.

Frank

I've got 10 fans in my new case. They're all stratigically placed so all of the air blows across the components and straight out the back

I've never had a problem with my temp getting too hot in the case itself (it goes in and right back out just a few degrees warmer than room temp). My CPU stays around 95F (32-33C I think) when I'm just using it... I've never bothered to check it when I'm running it hard.

I might be getting a refrigeration unit sometime. My dad's a plumber and has all the stuff and can get the piping and all that stuff really cheap (he works at a store where they sell it wholesale)

Then I'll need to upgrade from 2.4 GHz
