Adoption proceedings ended today!! Please welcome my newest cousin KATIE. By coincidence - Katie will be welcoming a brother PETER next month! (My Aunt was 8 weeks pregnant when the adoption went through!)

Katie was born in the beginning of March 2006. She was taken home from the hospital by my Aunt and Uncle but the adoption was not final until this afternoon. (6 months of proceedings. They live in NJ and Katie was born in PA)

She is a cutie! I have a younger cousin that was adopted when he was 2 weeks old. I remember when my aunt and uncle brought him home.

This was at the baby shower yesterday. Katie is now 6 months old and not yet speaking but what a story teller she is already!!

Am I correct in recalling you are the Godmother? Or am I confused.

(Congrats on the paperwork being finalised...phew!)

There are rumors that I will be Godmother. I know that the parents were waiting for the paperwork to be finalized before continuing with any further proceedings. I know that they are now working on getting the official birth certificate and social Security card changed over to their last name and when that is done, they will schedule the Christening, etc. (My Aunt is already 2 cent. dialated with the new baby and she is due OCT 19. So I wouldn't doubt they will Christen both babies at the same time!

Thanks for all the well wishes and I aggree.. she is BEAUTIFUL!

welcomed a baby brother this morning!

Peter was born at approx 7am Friday Oct 13, 2006.

7lbs, 7oz, 20in.

With signs of red hair like his Momma. Everyone is healthy but tired.
