I just can't say enough about aquariumfish.net, this is my second experience with them, and they ship so quickly! I ordered on Monday and they arrived on Thursday (today). They shipped them yesterday, overnight from San Diego to Atlanta. ( I guess I should be thanking UPS too! Lol)Everybody is alive, and looks really great! Just like last time. Their shipping rates are great too (as great as can be expected for shipping something alive!). They have one flat shipping rate of $24.75 whether you order 1 fish or 100 fish! And that rate is the same as it was 3 years ago when I ordered before. I know another site I looked at had a flat shipping rate of $40-something. That's just too steep for me, someone who just wants a few fish. Anyway, I just thought I'd share a good experience for once. I know a lot of times we (myself included) get fired-up and can't wait to tell everyone our bad experiences, so I thought I'd mix things up a bit! Lol. Thanks, Lauren |

tankgrrrl Enthusiast Posts: 255 Kudos: 50 Votes: 10 Registered: 06-May-2003 | Well, I didn't see any dyed fish on there, and I've looked at their website pretty thoroughly. Maybe they actually sent me an albino bristlenose they had "dyed" brown. Lmao. So much for positivity, huh? Merry Christmas to you too! |

fish patty Fish Addict Posts: 539 Kudos: 223 Votes: 255 Registered: 04-Oct-2006 | I looked & found 3 tetra's that I think might fit the dyed catagory below: Strawberry Tetras, 1" Picture: Strawberry and Purple Gymnocorymbus ternetzi 4327 Blueberry Tetra, 1" Picture: Blueberry Tetras Gymnocorymbus ternetzi 4334 Purple Tetras, 1" Picture: Strawberry and Purple Gymnocorymbus ternetzi ............... But they all had a (Not For Sale) sign by them? I don't know much about dyed fish, so I could be wrong on my suspected identifications. If I wanted to think positive about that, I could hope that it meant they had so many complaints about the dyed fish that maybe they are discontinuing them. But the whole point of tankgirrrl's post was (she thought) to share something nice & exciting with us. She found a site that was, as far as she could tell, great........delivering healthy fish fast & a lot cheaper than the other sites. When someone wants a fish they can't find, what alternative do they have but order online? She thought she found a good thing & wanted to share it with us in her excitement. BTY it was recommended to her from someone on this very site. I for one, share in your excitement tankgirrrl. I'm happy to hear that you got the kind of fish you wanted, at a discounted shipping rate & that they were healthy. And I thank you for sharing that site with us. It was nice of you to think of us. |

crazyred Fish Addict LAZY and I don't care :D Posts: 575 Kudos: 360 Votes: 293 Registered: 26-Aug-2005 | It's been my experience that some people don't understand that some of us can't always find the fishes we want at the LFS in our location. If I had to rely on the LFS's available to me all I could have would be goldfish and common plecos. I don't support dyed fish, but I know how hard it is to get the kind of fish you want locally. If you find a site that ships healthy fish at a fraction of the cost...GO FOR IT. I permanently reside at Aquabid.com...if not for that site, I wouldn't have anything in either of my tanks. If only folks would understand that they have luxuries in their big cities that only other of us can dream about. "Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder." |
