Yeah, they let teams move up and down the field, but like Tiger9 said, once in the Red Zone the Colt's defense tightens up. They force a lot of field goals, and field goals won't keep you in the game against the Colt's offense. ![]() Cup, yeah it was definitely a blatant penalty. What I meant was that the Jets 'D' had the Chargers stopped and won the game, but because that one guy threw the forearm to Drew's head the Chargers got another chance...a chance they should not have gotten. Without the stupid penalty the game would have been over in regulation. ![]() |

They were the team that brought me into football back, I think it was 1978 when Bradshaw went up against Staubach and the Cowboys. That same year my high school football team won the class-B state championship in football which also got me interested. What is strange is that not one person in my family likes football. In fact, they hate it. I've been watching ever since 78 and I am sooooooo hooked, especially college ball. It doesn't matter the team - during football season, my TV is tuned to some game. That was a really dumb penalty by the Jets in the end and they were lucky to recover from it. I don't see them going very far tho. Peyton Manning & the Colts are definitely going to give anyone a run for their money. I'm a Lions fan with not much to root for. They suk! ![]() ![]() Last edited by Cory_Di at 09-Jan-2005 10:29 |

The Vikings outplayed them, and the injuries to Green, Walker, and Davenport certainly didn't help the Packers. I can accept that. What really bugs me, though, is the behavior of Randy Moss. Okay, fine, he did catch 2 TDs (one of which he should have been called for offensive pass intereference, but that's a different rant), but the whole "mooning" celebration and his responses to the fans were appalling. Several times during the game, he looked at the fans, pointed to the scoreboard, and yelled some rather unprintable phrases at them. I mean, c'mon, that doesn't need to be done. The mooning celebration is the same thing. After catching his 2 TD, he pantomimed pulling down his pants and rubbing his bare behind on the goalpost. The NFL should finally take a stand against behavior like this and fine him. I bet they won't, though. Joe Potato ![]() |

Troy Aikmen I believe originally said he though Moss pushed off but upon seeing the reply he said agreed that he was wrong. In the replay you could clearly see that Harris over-ran the play and Moss simply stopped to catch the pass. As for his celebration after the second TD, well I got a good laugh from it. Personally, I see no problem with the pla Honestly, I would not be surprised to see the Vikings in the converence championship. Without TO, the Eagles are not the offensive powerhouse that they are with him. Then again, if Moss' ankle doesn't heal by next week the 2 teams will be even. Edited to clarify that by even I meant that both would be without their biggest offensive threat. ![]() I'm still calling the Pats losing next week. ![]() ![]() Last edited by jason_r_s at 09-Jan-2005 19:15 |

Seeing them play kinda scared me. At least the steelers are playing the jets, which we creamed before, and they dont seem as good as other teams in the playoffs(since we still do have quite a few injuries) EDIT* It also scares me them always saying the jets have never won here at pittsburgh - so now they are gonna play as hard as they can to break that... As great a year as he had and as great a career as he'll surely have, I don't think Roethlesberger will be able to win the game for the steelers, especially with the pressure of Freeney and the rest of the line. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by jason_r_s at 09-Jan-2005 20:29[/font] Last edited by jason_r_s at 09-Jan-2005 20:33 |
