For everything you wanted to know, yet are too afraid to ask (on the forums, anyways). This is for small questions that aren't worth starting a thread for. If you want to know how much salt mollies need, ask here. Don't know why your cories swim to the surface? Ask here. Don't know what salt creep is? Ask here. I think you folks get the idea... hopefully this will help people.

Only if they're kept in a cage...

Quick questions and quick answers, on this Site, is wishful thinking.

I pride myself in answering posts in the shortest amount of words and time but there are those respondents, who will remain nameless, that take a whole page to answer a two-line question.

So, although your suggestion may have some merit, you better warm up the editing Moderators to act quickly, or, put a limit on the number of words a responder can use before he/she is gonged.

Hi,
I resemble that remark Gary!
When I answer a question, I believe the person who asks
the question should also know the "why" of the answer
as well as the answer. I believe that an educated
fishkeeper is better, and that the why behind the answer
will also lead to more research on the questioners part.
The hobby comes out ahead that way (IMO).

BTW, two teaspoons of salt/gallon is what I see in some
of the sites for mollies, and, a recommended water temp
of 80 degrees (which I did not know till I started looking).

Salt Creep.
This is the process by which a salt coating remains on
surfaces as the salt water evaporates. If forms rings
around a tank, on the surfaces of the top and sides of the
tank and on the accessories.

OK, quick question - can those "Back to Nature" (or DIY version) styrofoam rocks be used in place of actual, vertical, up-high rocks for Paracyprichromis?

Quick question answer...

Anytime you can reduce the weight off the bottom of the tank, do it.
