I came home to change and talk to my mom real quick before heading over there. While I was at it I made a very quick post (as you can see) and called a couple of my friends, since a lot of people knew about it. I know I'm not supposed to mention anything about religion here, but I strongly believe that prayer is very very powerful. That's why I posted.

Nothing happened last night. His entire family was there with him, and he also got to hear his sisters and friends on the phone in Puerto Rico. He's unable to talk to us or even move very much, but when we talk to him his eyebrows move and occasionally we get a smile.

We think he had a stroke early yesterday morning. His head is tilted to the right and everything seems to be gone on that side. He also can't close his eyes. Sorry to get a little gruesome, but the coloration of the drainage went from yellow to a reddish-orange, meaning his kidneys have shut down.

He's so stubborn. He just doesn't seem to want to let go. Thank you all for your kind thoughts during this time. We can only hope that his pain and suffering are over soon.

He passed on at about 5:30 this morning. We all miss him dearly, but his pain is over. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. He was such a wonderful man.
