Well, there is some scientific scholarship thing where you have to do a research project and write a report on it and stuff. I thought it'd be kind of cool to do it on something fish-related. Strangely, I lack ideas at the moment, but that's probably 'cuz it's late at night for me right now. What would you do?

Do you breed fish. If you do how about something on how often mutations occur and what % are favorable, what % are neutral and what % are detrimental?
