Because there's a chance that my LFS has acquired some rare and oddball Characins. They don't look like your regular bread and butter Characins, and my first thought upon seeing them was "Wonder if that's Mimagoniates microlepis?" As you do of course Having got the book in front of me, I'm wondering now if they might be Glandulocauda inequalis. Hmm, both Innes AND Fishba Chances are he'll have sold the lot before I get chance to go back with the camera because he only had 12 in to start with. Sigh. |

I was expecting more anecdotes but it was pretty boring. 2/3rds of the book was about lord of the rings or king kong and on the other 1/3rd 'lord of the rings' or 'king kong' was referanced on every second page. What I was hoping to find was more actual stories about the cast and crews on filming of his earlier films. Im sure there were many amusing tales but all I found was a lot of blurb about getting approval from film houses. I just picked up my december copy of TFH and am going to read that for a bit. |

Hopefully by the following Monday I will be an RN. After that I am waiting on Terry Goodkind again. I am going to read the beginning of George R. R. Martin's series to see if holds any interest for me. |

crazyred Fish Addict LAZY and I don't care :D Posts: 575 Kudos: 360 Votes: 293 Registered: 26-Aug-2005 | "The Riverman: Ted Bundy and I Hunt for the Green River Killer" by Robert Keppel. He was the one of the main detectives on the 'Ted murders' in the Pacific Northwest that ended up being committed by Ted Bundy, so when this Green River Killer in Washington State started on his rampage, Keppel went to the "ultimate" serial killer for advice on how to catch him. Very interesting psychological study, indeed. Incidentally, Rovert Keppel is the only guy to whom Ted Bundy fully and freely confessed before being executed...they were most shocking confessions indeed. kitten Fish Guru Meow? Posts: 2266 Kudos: 2194 Votes: 19 Registered: 18-Nov-2003 | My book of choice changes daily, but usually consists of light reads that I read between calls at work. Currently working in a inbound call center and any stories with more "bulk" to them get a bit confusing when you only read a moment here or there and get interrupted by the people that call. *rolls eyes* Thus, the succession of uh... "bodice rippers" if you want to call them that. Trashy romance novels of the fast-reading variety. I tried bringing in Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's soul... bad choice. Kitten tends to tear up a bit at some of those stories. Callers don't need to hear me all choked up. I just "inherited" my aunt's cat on Sunday (I'll make a post in the near future showing off Lucky), so I've been beefing up on my cat-knowledge. Much as I love cats and am obviously affiliated with them, I've never had one of my very own before, so I'm doing some necessary reading. I'm in the middle of a book titled "Is my cat ok? : how to know... when your cat won't say" by Jeff Nichol. Interesting read, actually, and the author thinks he's a bit of a clown. Amusing. Props to goldfishgeek... I love Laurell K Hamilton books and own almost all of her books. Just got finished re-reading Mistrel's Kiss and Danse Macabre. In any case, I mostly read fiction, heavy into the fantasy aspect of things. I only read nonfiction when I'm in the mood or am interested in learning something on the subject, thus the cat books. *shrugs* ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |
