please dont be condesending.
so you mean look at the forum page and see the different colour fish?
the my active threads link only shows ones ive already posted in.
whether or not the format is generic or one of a kind it is still a good feature.
the original comment was not critical just my thoughts, and just an idea on an improvment to the site that would suit me as i am short on time to spare these days.
i am not a prolific poster as many other people have already answered before me and i dont feel the need to repeat things.
the new posts since last visit link is a good way to view the whole site and pick and choose threads that interest me quickly

OH TOLEEDY!

Babel,

Joined you site as a visitor and after about 2 weeks decided that it was worth the money to support it, to try and insure that it will be here when someone needs the help. In an earlier post someone was concerned about too many people crashing the site. I Just want everyone to know that the reason i wanted to support this site was because of the info. Fish keeping can be tricky and always changing and we all can learn new info or about new products. You really can't get a good opinion from a LFS because they do want to sell you something any thing. Even the best LFS in the world is in business to sell products. At least here it about true experiences and hopefully someone honest opinion. That in itself makes it worth the 20.00 dollars.

Hey Dan, that has come up before and I believe it may still be on the list of "nice to have's" somewhere. I know what you mean, I do like that feature and find it saves me from getting suckered into reading things that I've already seen (..but its so full of pretty fishies I'll just have a t-i-n-y peep).

Yeah, the coloured fish work in the same way as the flashy bits of paper on phpBB boards.

If its blue, there is a new post in that forum, if its grey, there isn't.

Once inside, the folders are different colours too. Riiiiight down the bottom of the page there is a code for what the symbols mean

Cal, i believe what this poster means is a drop down link, ie:
View posts since your last visit

Post 1
Post 2
Post 3
Post 4
Post 5

etc..all which have been posted since your last visit. makes things easier for people who dont have much time.

Yup, I know the "view new threads" or "view posts since last visit" link

The "flashy bits of paper" reference was to the icons on the default phpBB skin, I think thats what they are anyhoo? Never really thought about it til yesterday
