That camera certainly has a few good whizzbangs what type of flash did you use or is there a special night/macro system preset in the camera.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Great camera! When I was a kid we had a mantis in our house & my Mother smacked it with the straw end of a broom hoping to kill it. When she looked at it, it was still standing, but had it's front legs crossed over it's head as if to protect itself from any more blows. She was so taken by it's posture that she felt sorry for it then & had one of us kids (not me ) take it outside & let it loose.

Some people just automatically kill all bugs & creatures they find in their house, cause they don't belong there. People think differently from each other on different subjects. Some people just don't think. If it's in their house, it doesn't belong there, so they are going to kill it to make sure it doesn't reproduce anymore of it's kind to get into their house. Thankfully, I have become a little more selective than my Mother.

How can sombody kill such a nice creature
Somtimes we get these in our house and i catch them and let them back out again.
Our garden has a lot of these mantises and they do a good job taking other insects like spiders etc.
Mantis are a very interesting insect
