	Today's Headlines - "OOPS!", "The BOOM That Went Bust!"
poisonwaffle Mega Fish Posts: 1397 Kudos: 591 Registered: 11-Feb-2003	Yesterday they tried to implode the tallest building in the state (the Zip Feed Mill)... it WAS 202' tall...now it's ~180' tall. The bottom of the building blew, it tipped, and then the rest of it fell 20' into the basement and stuck! So now we've got a 180' tall building leaning at about 10-15 degrees from vertical... it has been dubbed 'The Leaning Tower of Zip'! (For those unfamiliar, "Vonage" is a broadband company with the slogan "People do some pretty dumb thing... other people use Vonage"... They have some pretty silly commericials with it.) "it's the neck, it creaks under the weight of too much heavy thinking."

moondog Moderator The Hobnob-lin Posts: 2676 Kudos: 1038 Votes: 4366 Registered: 30-Sep-2002	the same thing happened to a grain elevator in milwaukee. they tried knocking it down and it just didn't go down, so they tried to blow it up but it still wouldn't go down. they eventually blew up every single square inch of the base to make it fall over, but it took them something like 3 weeks to make it happen...
