1) Having to put my hand in cold dish water

Be careful not to get your tongue stuck to an ice cream after burning it on a hot drink (burning your throat hurts too if you drink too fast!). And yes it can happen. I managed it with the ice creams they gave us on the qantas flight

1. cross my eyes and give tehma retarded look (freaks them out)
2. look at the ma nd snarl then say something snotty (usually they recoil or retreat)
3. simply ignore and walk past, if they are assertive then i push tehn out of the way, find a gap to walk through, or simply tell them off...

Depends on what they're doing that's stupid...

1. If they're in the fast lane and going exactly the same speed as the person next to them in the slow lane (on a two-lane highway), I have no qualms about being a tailgater. That's the only situation where I'll get close to the back of a moving car... I normally keep my distance...

2. If they're doing 20-30mph under the limit while entering the freeway, they usually either get a horn or a finger. They put on-ramps there so you have time to accelerate so you're going the same speed as the rest of the drivers when you enter the freeway. Likewise, off-ramps are there so you can slow down while you're ON them, not 50' before you get to them.

3. If someone is doing something really stupid (to the point where I can't avoid hitting them or something else by slamming on the brakes or veering out of their way), I'll 'tactically maneuver ' (aka 'drift' or 'powerslide') around them. I've only had to do that twice, though. Once on Christmas when it was really icy and someone slid into oncoming traffic, and once when someone was going the wrong way on a freeway on-ramp.

Clutter! I'm getting better at this! (errr containing it not making it )

1. go over surfaces that collect clutter every day, find out what can be put away and deal with it before it gets too much. For us it's the kitchen island (where adam dumps the mail) and the dining room table (where I dump stuff)

2. Get nice boxes/baskets to contain stuff that isn't really clutter but looks like it (ie remotes we've got three, and two wii controllers)

3. Reduce the knickknacks you have on things like bookshelves, kitchen counters, ect. Pick a 2-3 to display then rotate them once a month. They're all important to have but having them all out just makes stuff cluttered!!! (not to mention takes away focus from what you want people seeing!)


And to check if somethings cluttered or not, take a photo (if you're using digital obviously) then look at the pic, closely.
