Well I got half my wish! Ahmed was released 3 hours ago into the care of the local Dominican friars. A happy day for his many friends. Thanks Santa

Of course, we all know that Christmas is more about the giving than the receiving, but receiving is a natural effect of giving...for others to experience the joy of giving, you will probably have to act as a receiver. So...

What do you hope to receive?

In my family we do a 'secret santa' thing; you buy one gift for someone in the family, you receive one gift from someone in the family. It's kind of not the same as my childhood christmases, where there were presents piled under the tree, and sometimes you see something that's just perfect for someone, but they're not your secret santa person, but *shrug*, money is a little on the low side for my family most of the time. So anyway, my partner and I have decided that we're going to ask that our secret santas pool their resources and buy us a tent, as we go camping at least once a year but always have to borrow a tent, we want one of our own so we can go anytime. Plus we're going to the Woodford Folk Festival for New Year and we'll need a tent for that.
