Well, im sure we've all been here.
Yesterday i managed to lose my job and my girlfriend.
I worked as a chef for my girlfriends mum and dad, and we had a serious fall out and broke up after 2.5 years, and i knew it was coming, but didnt want to think about it.
Anyway, a lesson to everyone...as good as a situation might seem at the time, listen to those you've always listened to, not those who seem closest to you at the time. I've learned the hard way!
My moan for this year anyway!

Watch out, because sometimes when things don't seem like they could get any worse, they do. Helps if you brace yourself. Not a lot of major things left to get worse, that's the good news. And they do get better with time. In a couple months I reckon you'll feel like yourself again. Good luck!

Yeah, this year has been pretty awful -- albeit in morbidly interesting and poetic ways -- for me too.

But, rain's a part of how life goes, as the song says.

Things'll turn upwards, James. They always do, given enough time.

Edit: I forgot to add, there's a saying that I use during situations like this: "At least you're not blue."

During my stint of doing water chemistry at a pool store, we had an entire family turn blue because they kept dumping gallons of copper-based algaecide into their pool, despite our warnings to the otherwise. So, one day they come in, and they all looked like Smurfs. Naturally, they tried to blame us for that. Anyway, the running joke became that no matter what was wrong with your life, things could be worse because you could always turn a different color.

*hug* that sucks dude. Most unfortunate. Superlion there is right though, when it just can't get any worse, your sewer pipe will block up, or your stove will explode, or some such Life has a twisted sense of humour!

Probably not much help, but if you feel the pressing need, you can come and cook dinners for my house

Aww yuck how horrid, but I have to agree with the potato, at least you're not blue.

Then again, a shade of blue might be just the thing to rocket you to the heights of fame and I bet someone would be sorry they let you go then .

Those rough patches are always going to be there. Sometimes it feels like I'm going from one rough patch to the next with hardly a break in between, and just when you think your doing okay the neighbors dog comes along and eats your kitty cat...

Hmm let me this in the past 7 Days I have

Sliced my hand open and needed 5 stiches,
Had 6 cavities filled in my teeth and its still hurtin
Trashed my car and its going to cost $3000 US in damages
Oh and i had to remove all the nice rocks from the tank because they leeched bloody Calcium. hmph!!

BTW i hope ya find a new job soon mate. I know the UK is hard.

I dont believe Im about to say this, being an arbitor of doom almost as standard, but...

Money, family ties and connections are not best associated with ones girlfriend. You might eventually find the whole experience rather liberating once the blues have passed. You should never base your living in a situation thats conditional to being with either a friend or a partner.You may feel like a weight has been lifted eventually.

Besides, there are an awful lot of nice ladies out there when you do start lookin again and a spot of fripperous living, and a bit of bumming about are often good for the soul Time to regain ones immaturity and have a little fun
