OK I need some help folks, I'm at a loss...I want/need to do something with my hair, but really don't know what the heck to do with it. I got it trimmed and layered in early August or late July, don't remember which...but haven't been happy with it at all, but I've been able to deal with it, either in a pony tail, or half up, half down barrett mess...very seldom 100% down...

Well, i'm tired of it all together...and i've run into a definate snag of sorts...though most of ya'll are beginning to think cooler weather is on it's way, us down here are still sweltering, and wilting...no problem if you have a/c in your vehicle, but on the last go round or was it the first this week? anyways my a/c seems to have totally given up the ghost, in fact the a/c is blowing hotter than the plain vent or the heater]:|not that the heater has ever been much use for some reason

Anyways now I'm driving with the window down, and the window on the back window open, just to try not to totally melt...i was seriously drenched by the time I got home tonight

So what should I do with my hair? Any ideas? I'm game, the windows being down blew my hair apart even all pulled up in a bun, so wind blown might look good, but cyclone look just isn't good at all

Oh a couple of pics,

how it looks pulled back totally

this one is from a few years back when i was in presidio, my only way of serviving the heat there, but my mother had ugly things to say about it so i let it grow

oh one last thing...my hair grows terribly slow, so whatever i do this time is gonna last for quite awhile, and i need something fairly quick and easy...i'm leaving the house at 5:30 in the morning as it is, so I don't want to have to get up earlier than 5:00 just to do my hair

Thanks, and when i do get something done i'll post pics of it...heidi

EDIT: Crud, sorry folks the black on black font just doesn't work does it? Just run your mouse over the blank space below and you'll see the options...sorry for the trouble

How long is your hair at the moment???
I do prefer the first shot with it longer.

I know how you are feeling I had a hair disaster not long ago.
I have admitted to the fact that my hair is not going to look like any magazine covershot/hairdresser book. I don't have the time and just put it into a piggy tale before I walk out the door.

I would suggest that any changes that you make or do, do little ones. An inch off, or some foils, or a shade or so lighter. Nothing too drastic, just a little something!

Something short, but that still frames your face.

Besides, those are pretty easy cuts to take care of... they're sorta meant for that tossled look.

Go to your/a hairdresser, ask them what would look good on you, see if you like it, see if we like it & then decide

I like it in the second photo it gives you the younger look. Its your hair you do what please you. Get it styled so that it is practical. Ask several hair stylists not just one.

The wife does not like mine. I have it cut very short reason Gym, steam and suuna rooms also swimming three days a week.

I second that...get the hairdresser to show you pix of styles that suit your hair's growth pattern/texture etc.

Hair - too tricky isn't it? But the world isn't right if your hair isn't behaving is it?

I agree to frame your face.. do go too short though... you don't want too much exposer when the winter comes.

If you still don't like it. Get a hat!!

Pixie type cut, if you can get some sort of face framing there, all the better

Heya,

Me again! How is it going? I would say leave your hair as is, maybe just a little trim. But I am gathering you don't want to hear that and it doesn't help. SOOOO...I went around to some hair sites to give you some ideas.

This is my fave:

It looks like you can get up in the morning and quickly wet and brush run out the door and it looks great. And you could play with it some more when you want to go out on the town!!!

I think your current haircut is good, it just needs a little more bounce, so maybe use a stronger shampoo or more conditioner, trim it regularly and let it grow a little longer. Will look better when framing your face
