Ok, I probably won't stay up...like said earlier, I don't want to be up for over a month waiting on the results... But, for those who watch CNN that night...keep an ear out...they did a voting pole for elementary schools are are supposed to announce the results for each campus...Mine would be Goose Creek CISD--Harlem Elementary...It was funny to watch the little PreK, K, 1st graders vote, even some 2nd and 3rd were interesting...For PreK one teacher tried to explain it and ended up just asking them if they like an elephant or donkey best...:%)

As a US History teacher it is almost manditory that I stay up and watch the election returns, or at least check on them off and on during the evening and night.

I work late so I will be listening in on talk radio. Unfortunately, I must agree with the general feeling that we wont have a result overnight.]

In the 2000 election, I watched BBC news, which was much more informative and more fun to watch than the American stations!

I will stay up, but I know we won't know the president that evening.

I'm a political science student, and I am not staying up to watch the election. In fact, I'm strongly considereing not even voting for president. I'll not get into the reasons why here (because they will probably offend absolutely everyone in the states, and politics isn't to be discusssed on this board). I'm really only concerned with voting for US Congress in this election.

Since I'm sure that we'll absolutly know the results by the time the election is "over" I'm staying up of course! [/sarcasm].

I have a feeling this one will be just as ugly as last time, if not worse. *Disowns her own degree in mass communications*.

Four years ago I think I gave up around 1AM (November 3rd) when things still weren't figured out.

This year I'll probably stay up until my usual hour, 11PM - 12AM and that's it.

It would be a lot easier if I still lived in WA state, since we were 3 hours behind the east coast, we got the results in from the eastern states before dinner. I remember in 4th grade, the 1988 election, our homework assignment was to fill in each state on a map of the US either blue or red, depending on who took it.

Last time I planned to stay up to watch for election results, they weren't out for a month. If I'd actually managed to stay up I probably would've gone crazy, literally, from lack of sleep. This year I think I'll just vote, go to sleep, and turn the news on when I wake up - not that they'll have decided anything by then, I'm sure.

Sorry but I find it hard to think of anything that could be more boring.
