I'm sure everyone knows, but just in case It is worse the closer you are to the dam, the further away you are the more chance you have of the volatile compounds breaking down before they reach you. Ageing (chronologically) the water does seem to help, but what else have people found effective? Anyone near the foothills getting any noticeable quality difference yet? |

I also would be adding Geo Liquid at water change time. For my Betta tank because of our bad water Southern Vic Aust I add 4ml of Melafix, 5ml Sera Nitrivic, and 5ml of Geo liquid. I do all that at water change time. One reasom a small tank of 32lt there is very littl room for any error as far as water introduction is concerned. I do not aerate the stored water but if it get any worse I will do that as well. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
