Care: Feed with small flakes. The Harlequin must be kept in large schools of at least 6 or 7 if it is to survive. Keep a densely planted tank as the Harlequin likes to hide in the plants by night.

Gender: Males are thinner than females.
Breeding: Keep a pair of young females (9-12 months old) with a two-year old male. Feeding them live foods can improve chances of spawning. Remove parents after spawn and keep the aquarium tank dark until the eggs hatch. Also be sure to include large or broad leafed plants, as the Rasbora lays their eggs on the underside of the broadleafed and large leafed plants.
