They don't have any sharp edges that stick out, but (all over) they are pretty rough, and I'm not sure if I feel comfortable putting them in. Has anyone worked with granite pieces like this? Should I grind them to make them smoother? Attach moss onto them? Are they okay as is? Any suggestions, especially from experience, would be greatly appreciated! I have access to many other types of rock through my business, so also let me know if you think I should go with something else instead. Thanks- Kari |

As far as the edges are concerned, it probably has more to do with the fish that you are going to keep in the tank. If they are high strung, and the tank is in a high traffic area, then they might injure themselves dashing about the tank when frightened. Otherwise, I would not worry too much about it.
