Maybe you can add a piece of Driftwood & more Rocks & if you have enough light, add some more plants.

That large center rock looks completly wrong in that location and possibly that tank. The focal point is desirable to be 1/3 in from the left hand end and 1/3 from the front. This will give the eye something to move to gradually and have a pleasing effect. You certainly want drift wood, rocks whith character, and lots of plants of differnt leaf shapes yet all green. Is the back painted? if not a flat black would lift the tank.

For plants you would require suitable lighting and a depth of 3ins of a good 2-3mmm substrate.

With the plants no more than 5 varieties if too many it can become like a garden salad.

You can PM your E/m if you would like more detailed infomation

mrwizerd,

For me the question should be more like:

What do you want to do with it?

I know nothing about your lights, ferts (if any), and plant visions. Are you thinking about a nice planted tank, just a small design change, little to mo money invested, and so forth.

I would say: express your vision and I (we) will help you to get there as much as possible.

Hope this helps,

Ingo

Well I want it to be a nice planted tank. The bulb is a 17w T8 and these plants all seem to be doing well. I dont know what the back plant is. Normally the back would be painted but it has a fake scenery back there I bought this tank before I knew about painting them. The other plants are

2 Crypt Wendii Tropica
1 Red Crypt Wendii
1 Mellon Sword
Broad Leafed Lewdwiga
2 Dwarf Onion Plants
3 Plants that look like anubis maybe I think, cant remember
1 Brazilian Sword i think it is, which is a tererium plant but its doing very well in there.

As you can see them in the pictuers.

I dont really have a real vision I lack it. I just found a place with driftwood. I dont know where in the tank i would put it. I plan to build a new hood for it to add light but for now the low light level is what i have. Everything seems to be growing well.

I am dosing with flourish every so often I dont have a lot of plants so it causes algae blooms on occasion so I cant keep things perfect till i get a FE test. I just want a very nice planted tank. I have several mosses some that may be fisidens moss but not sure that i would like to gfet in there but I am unsure as the direction i am going so I am a little stuck.
