My platic plants were starting to get a gross algea covered look to them so last nite i decided to soak them in a weak bleach solution over night. It worked well. No i was wondering what the best way to get them read to but back into the tank is. Thanx.

I would rinse them really well with water until you can't smell any trace of bleach odor anymore. Then go ahead a put them back in the tank.

Steve,
In case your not aware you can actually buy a solution called "Plastic Plant Cleaner" that you remove your plants from the tank and soak in overnight. I ordered some out of the Foster & Smith catalog and it works great.

A weak bleach solution of 1:19 works well. Dip the plants until the algae turns white. Scrub lightly with a tooth brush. to eliminate the dead algae. Flush well with tap water then place in a bucket and dose with a de-chlorinator before returning the plants to your tank. If you have any bleach smell to the plants, re-rinse and re-dose.
