I have been thinking about how to aquascape my tank and have settled on trying a Triangle type tank.

Here are pictures of the tank now and my plan.

Let me know what you think, good or bad. Also since this is a 25 High tank do you think the triangle would be too squished? The length of the tank is two feet.

Thanks
Rick

slickrb,

Go a head and try it. You can't really hurt too much. Most of us move our plants around quite a bit to find out where we want things and where they grow best. If you have time Check out Little_Fish's log to see what he has been going through.

Slick,

Looks like you are going to create a diagonal line of interest from a high point on the left side of the tank to a low point on the right side of the tank. Nice idea and it should be easy to accomplish with the artificial plants.

The mopani wood is a great accent point in the aquarium so try not to cover it with foliage. Either side will work well but if you use the burl side then use your bright green plants as a background to the wood.

I will try it. I am going to do it this Saturday when I change the water. I'll post new pictures then. I have looked at Little_Fish's log as well as the other logs in the planted forum. I've learned a lot from them, which will be useful because I will eventually plant this tank.

A side note - I showed my wife the pictures of Little_Fish's tank after he added the DW. She liked it and said I could get a big showcase tank for the living room if I could make a tank look that nice. I was like "Yes!" Then I realized I need to get my tank to look as good as the tanks here. Doh! Well It's good to have a goal, I better start practicing.

Bob
You read my mind. That was exactly what I was thinking for the wood. I kind of wanted nestled in front of the plants to kind of make it look like they grew around it, while not covering it up. I will eventually add moss to the top when I plant the tank.

Thanks
-Rick

I like it. It opens up some space so you can see the tetras better.
