Questions. What is the best/strongest way to do that? I was thinking of using Stainless Steel screws. If it is fixed to the slate what do I place between the slate and the glass bottom? Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm not sure of the English name, but are round small and black, some come with adhesive already |

Fortunately one of my local DIY stores supplies such goodies if ever I need them. The way to use plastic screws is as follows. [1] Drill some holes in the bogwood where the screws are to be inserted. [2] Insert some plastic Rawlplugs (these are the bits of plastic that are used to provide additional grip for masonry screws when fixing a shelf to a wall). Ensure that they are the correct size. [3] Insert screws through holes in slate, then into bogwood. It's advisable to pre-drill for this exercise. A washable (i.e., water soluble) marker pen can be used to outline the wood where it mates to the slate ba Another possibility is those plastic pop-in attachments used for securing PC motherboards to a chassis. MUCH better than exposed me Hope this helps. ![]() |

It is the old story there are many ways to do the same job and all work. I will chase up the Plastic screws even if I dont use them in the tank. I certainly see a use for them in wet areas of the home. Thank you all Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
