I have just bought a new 6f x 2f x 2f tank.
It came with an Aqua One Aquis 2450 UV-C filter.
The default setup for the filter output is to use the supplied parts, incl. spray bar.
Would there be any issue to using a straight tube outlet following a bend over the side and into the tank?
I'm thinking of a scape along the lines of a drain outlet, with a short cascade into a creek...

Yes and No

It would depend on what you want to put in the tank.
The pressure coming out from one point could easily cause strong currents in some areas and dead spots in other parts of the tank.

The ideal situation for a tank that size would be a good quality filter at each end.

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
