Grapevine Submersion Problems | |
JediDragon Fingerling Posts: 37 Kudos: 221 Votes: 70 Registered: 19-Jul-2004 | I bought a length of grapevine wood/branch/trunk for my established tank. The problem I am having is that the dern thang floats, dagnabbit! I have had the grapevine soaking in my sink for 24 hours and it is still floating. I don't want to empty water and then attach it with aquarium sealant as I don't have adequate space to put the fish for that kind of project. So my question is: What does everyone suggest to make this not float and stay submersed? Am I not doing anything right? If there is an easy answer to this and there is some kind of commonly used system for stuff like this, please excuse me.:%) |

Or, you could take it out, dry it in the sun for a day or two, and then silicone it to a piece of slate that you could set on the glass bottom and cover with gravel. Or, silicone it to some rocks, and then submerge the assembly. Frank -->>> The Confidence of Amateurs, is the Envy of Professionals <<<-- |
