I want to make some fake mangrove roots for my 125g. I was thinking of using 1 big pvc pipe then have a bunch of little ones coming out. I cant figure out what to cover the pipe with. I was thinking of epoxy but then I though of cork bark but dont know if you could bend the flats to fit around a pipe. Any Ideas.

The cork would only give it extra boyancy. To put it bluntly why bother get the real thing and it will look a lot better in the long run.

as long as your not stocking the tank with hard water fish ie shellies frontosas ect ect you should get real mangrove roots.
