After loosing the last M Betta I decided after a lot of thought to go for a Cardinal Tetra tank.
This involved removing the big DW = 2.5lt. With that now gone it has opened the tank up considerably.
All the tall Crypts were taken out and just over half were placed in the back LH corner. The rest will eventually form the back drop. I also had not luck again with the stem plants. There's Crypts have been moved several time and all they do is shoot mot young plants,

To give a litle height I found a suitable piece of DW which now has Serrated Java Fern attached to it. I also took out from the 5ft tank a long thin piece of DW which has a good growth of more Serrated Java Fern.

I moved a few of the Mini Crypts still no set backs from them either.

The other big change is the internal Eheim is coming out = close to 1lt and the Hagen Aquaclear 30HOB is going on. This will also give me more space.

I have also removed all the Java Moss I hope As I am writing this I just spotted one small piece.

Here are several photos before and after (well one week later) HOB arriving in a few days and both filters will be running for several weeks.

The tank now is about a 36lt capacity.

Any comments would be appreciated.

The DW is far more to the left than the photos shows it is at least 1/3rd from the LH side and about 2/3rds back from the front of the tank

I like the way you have a serrated java fern on the dw.
It looks like stag horn plants in a rain forest.

it would be easier for people to give you some direction with a full tank shot
