Hi all i was wondering, do you think it would be safe top put thoes red bricks like you see basements made of , or maybe a garden fence ect, about 3 by 6 inch small red bricks in my fish tank???????????

I've used them in mine and nothing died. They were red pavers though.

Yes, they are safe to use in tanks because although they are made out of dirt and clay and that kind of stuff, they are baked at such high temperatures that they become rock hard and perfectly stable and water.

Just make sure you rinse them off first, because they can have lots of dust on them and also many brick-manufacturing companies work with asbestos.

To be on the safe side only use new bricks as you would have no idea of the bricks life history.

Be careful though of the sharp edges. maybe lay a small bead of silicone along it or something.
