any one having suggestions on different tank background suitable for different gravel colours?

I have white marble coloured gravel with dark brouw and greenish background but now I want to change it to something more interesting.

Has a very good home made back ground which can be painted and in my opinion sand added to give it a more natural look.
He should be able to help you as he posted a thread on it some time ago.

Make one yourself from styrofoam It's a bit of work, and it may be difficult to locate suitable paint, but in my opinion it is absolutely worth it. I've now done it twice, see the step by step process here:
