Terracotta pots | |
xxxx Hobbyist Posts: 64 Registered: 04-Sep-2003 | Howdy all, I got some terracotta pots cheap recently from my local hardware store and was wanting to put them in my tank. What sort of preperation do I need to do on them before they are ready to go in? Thanks |

Give them a good scrubbing...depending on where they were in the store they may have some chem or dust that you really don't want in the tank . After that just be sure that the hole isn't small enough for the fish to get stuck in....keep in mind that as the fish grow they may get stuck. ^_^ |

I would give them a very good soaking including a total water change several times. You can make the holes bigger by drilling several smaller holes (using the corect drill) around the outside of the smaller hole. Then use a small file to remove the rough and sharp edges.
