	Trapped water
esandbergger Hobbyist Posts: 133 Kudos: 128 Votes: 0 Registered: 12-Jun-2005	Hey all, I have a fake rock formation in my fishtank. The inside is hollow, should i worry about the water trapped inside?

I would drill a small hole into this area to give it a better water flow and to remove the air lock if it has one. If you can't do as the others have suggested and drill a series of small holes in the top (use the highest point obvously ) then you will need to turn it over once a week. If this tank isn't being given CO2 then you may want to add an airstone under the formation. Once the holes are drilled just run the airstone for a few minutes a day to allow the water to flow thru and around and prevent anerobic colonization. ^_^[font color="#999999][hr width='40%']"When you try your best but you don't succeed.
