Would it look good | |

In my 75g I have pea gravel but in the 125g theres white sand. My 75g looks nice but I dont want to mess with changing out the sand. Am I just paranoid or is there anything I can do to make it look nicer. The pea gravel is the thing that makes the 75g look nice. |

To make your self and the fish happy replace the white substrate. Plenty of rocks and DW would certainly make a difference. Maybe someone else can give you an idea on the type of plants to use. Is there any way to darken up the tank. I know that adding some duckweed and surface plants would help. I think that driftwood would help contrast the tank. I also think that if i added peat that would help. |

Drift wood will leak some tanning in the tank & leave it like a tea colour. Peat will lower a bit the pH & will darken the water aswell. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
