nano bubbles on new gravel | |
BeastKeeper Big Fish Posts: 444 Kudos: 389 Votes: 47 Registered: 27-Apr-2004 | i bought a new 55usg last friday and some gravel. the tank has been cycling ever since friday but dosnt have a heater yet. i noticed tonight that the old gravel i put in doesnt have any bubbles but the new larger gravel does has little nano bubbles. why are there bubbles on my rocks? there are also these nano bubbles in the corner of the tank |

As to why the bubbles are not attached to the "old" gravel, could it be because the old gravel still has some bacteria colonies and the bubbles don't adhere?
