I ended up with a new 20g long when we moved late last week. This is now my Asian biotope. I kind of threw it together quickly to get the fish and plants settled in.

Any comments or suggestions?

maybe try to move those red crypts on the right hand side from in front of the driftwood to the back? or something to bring a little more of the wood to the open. otherwise i like it

I would move the large crypts in front o the equipment, this will also frame the driftwood better and will hide all the tubes, maybe in the futrue you want to paint the back black or navy blue.

I like the general flow of the tank. Before I would make any recommendations if any I would let the tank get established a lot more. I would also paint the back and the sides a flat black. By doing this your eyes would not be distracted by what is behind the tank.

Besides I like it any way, well done.

Yes, I agree with Keith, put some sort of background on the tank, preferably something dark (Not one of those horrible plant pictures or roman temple photos). The contrast that it will give with your plant and fish will make them stand out a lot more. Maybe you can also "ungroup" the plants a little, right now they are very much bunched together as if they have been growing in plastic pots, which in my opinion looks rather unnatural. You don't have to spread them throughout the tank, but maybe give each individual plant a little bit mor space. Otherwise the tank looks pretty good, the water is perfectly clear! Well done!
