The wood is tipped a bit forward. It was originally attached to slate so I believe that bottom portion needs to be in the water for some time before it will sit properly. Plants are: 2 Temple 1 Anubias barteri 1 Anubias nana 1 Crypt lutea 1 Radican sword 2 Cabomba Some anacharis floating, which may or may not stay. So any thoughts, is it , , or ? However, I think it could use more foreground plants in the front right area, and a large, tall plant in the left rear. There looks to be a little too much empty space. It's a very nice tank though. Out of curiousity, how many watts per gallon do you have? |

Could you lift the RH end of the wood with several small stones just to give it a bit more character? Also some low foreground plants especially in front of the Drift Wood to soften it up a bit. Yes I like that tank very much. Even though it is small and simple it has that Wow factor of peacefullness and what else can I see, I must stay longer and look more. Well done NO very well done Theresa Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? VOTE NOW VOTE NOW |

Second what the others said, Keiths got a good idea about raising one side of the wood. As for the rear right corner, maybe some long behind the Radican sword will will out the corner nicely and complement the sword. Some corksrew val, nice and bright won't get too tall. A few small plants in front of the wood to highlight it, Anubias nana would be perfect, right size and will complement the larger Anubias and crypt. Great job, really nice tank Just one last little thing. Is this one of the tanks with incandescent lighting ? I ask because everything seems to have a yellowish tint which incandescent will do. Ignoring debates on which bulb is better for plant growth, a daylight flouro (screw in ones will do) will really bring out the colors of both plants and fish. I think that one simple change would bring you from a 200% improvement to a 300% improvement. The bulbs are only a couple of bucks you could always pick one up stick it in to see the difference visually and see if you like it. If you don't you can always use the flouro in one of your rooms ! Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
