Sorry Cal, can't remember what it looked like before

But looks great now ! Really nice shape and structure to it. The open space works really well. Great job.

Like to see a picture without the flash though, just the tank lights. I think camera flash always gives a rather unreal look, always looks better without the flash.

After a bit of heavy pruning in August. Excuse the cloudiness.

GRRR, piccies aren't attaching well

I take it you like the black background more than the blue (it was supposed to be graded blue, but its too light

Hi,
It's looking great Calla. Personally, I don't like that
vivid blue background, it's too eyecatching.

I see the backs of alot of leaves on those plants instead
of the fronts. I wonder if either they are freshly
planted, or if your lights are too far towards the back
of the tank causing the plants to "lean backwards."

I gotta ask two questions..
What are those rectangles that seem to be floating
vertically, in the back? Are all of those intakes
for various filters?

What is the slice of orange doing in the tank?

It is pretty freshly planted, the Stricta takes a week or so to right itself.

the rectangles are because a stupid glazier didn't follow my design and thought he kknew better how to make tank dividers than i did. *grumble* i was utterly spewing. They are supports for glass dividers from when this was a betta tank. I have tried very hard to get them off, but even superthin razor blades and fine fishing line can't get in behind them He didn't even use even silicone. I am angry every time i think about it.
My design had 4 separate lids and the supports under the gravel and in the lid supports, far more discreet. This was just a botch job because my idea was more time consuming.

And the orange, the shrimp and cories like the odd slice of orange

do you think i should add a softer plant (hornwort or something) or stick with the broader leaves?

I got the stupid things off! (at great personal injury, i have slices all over my fingers from the blade! ) the silicone must have finally been old enough as i had tried this method before with little success

I'm so proud!

Hi,
I read the first posting and picture and by way of response
was going to suggest that you pm Keith and chat with him.
He's a glazier and might have been able to help.

Then I read the second, and see mission accomplished!
Hope you heal quickly.

As far as a slice of orange for shrimp and the cories -
I've never heard of such a thing. Where ever did you
pick that up?

Frank
