Hello everyone. On sunday, i went to my favorite fish store(ThatFishPlace) in Lancaster. I went their to get some more fish food. I went into the fish room and to my surprise they had 2 rare types of fish(well, at least to me). The had the Dwarf chained loach(Botia sidthimunki) for $5.99. What a deal! They had about 50 of them. This leads me to think that they are finally starting to be breed more easily in captivity. Is this true? I will get some around Christmas if they have them when i find a home for my Batik loaches(nippy towards my angel). They also had zebra ottoes at $9.99. not too cheap, but i would pay it.

I paid $15 for my zebra otto. I actually got 2 but one died of starvation, I think. The tank they were in had almost no algae. I netted the survivor and plopped it in my other tank (I was upset, so I didn't even acclimate him), that had algae. He's been healthy and happy since then with my 3 regular ottos.

What a lucky find!

Well done if you visit several LFS often sooner or later you will pick up something different or hard to get.

Dwarf loaches are great and that's a fantastic price. IME they are more like yo-yos, into all levels of the tank rather than just the bottom and even surface feeding.

I never had them bother any of my other fish...sadly I no longer have this angel but this is one of my favorite pics:
