Half a WHOLE zucchini? Thats alot of zuchinni. If he ate half an entire zucchini thats alot, and i'm suprised he's not dead... What other fish do you have in there?

So you did feed a half a WHOLE zuchini? And it disappeared? Um...i'm not sure if angels eat the stuff, and i would think the ghost shrimp do. I don't know, half a whole zuchinni is pretty large and a pleco and 12 ghost shrimp eating it seems odd. Sure you didn't eat it or something .

No one has asked the most important question "How big was the zuccini" .

I never leave extra food in for more than an hour at the most.

Did you pre cook it or not???

I have fed about a half inch slice to my juvie BN. He's maybe half the size of your plec and let me tell you... I've left that slice in there for a night or two and he didn't finish half of it. Of course, he does have a decent selection of algae to munch on, too. I can't imagine a pleco like yours could finish half of even the smallest zucchini I've seen in a grocery store, which would be just as big as he is. Maybe a family member took it out? After two days, that thing's going to start falling apart...

the zuccini was about 5 inches, so half of it is almost as big as my pleco. i didnt take it out, i didnt eat it... and nobody else messes with my tank. yes it disappeared, however, the lead weight i used to hold it down was found in the gravel... i did not have ghost shrimps in the tank at the time, i had my convicts. but i just recently traded for angels, and ghosts are just something to watch for fun, and team up with the pleco to eat extra food for now.

My two Bristlenoses can take out a 5in diameter by 1in High pieco of zuccini in a couple of hours easily. They are pretty small too.

I slice my zuccini in 1/4 inch and put 3 in tank with 4 goldfish and one pleco. It takes them 2 days to finish it off. I think some softens in the water and goes thru filtration.
