I recently got 4 upsidedown catfish, my Bushynose Pleco does not seem to like them. They hang out under a large piece of drift wood, the BN Pleco will chase them away if they get to close to him. My Corys and other fish also hang out under the drift wood but the BN Pleco only has a problem with the upsidedown cats, is this normal

75 Gallon tank with fake plants and piece of driftwood
stocked with
6 Congo tetras (2 big, 4 small)
7 pristella tetras
8 cherry barbs
3 blue rams
2 red fire dwarf groumies
2 neon blue dwarf groumies
4 upside down catfish
6 bronze cories (large)
5 panda cories (all small)
3 ottos
1 flying fox
1 bn pleco
1 clown pleco

also is this an over stock, everyone seems fine and happy
thanks

I can't help you too much with the stocking, as I don't have any experience with the larger tanks. However, your stocking levels do look okay to me.

I think that the bristlenose is chasing off the upside-down cats for a simple reason. It doesn't appreciate the intrusion of its territory by the newcomers, and it obviously wants to remove them. Your BN probably spends a lot of time on or near the driftwood, and sees it as his turf. The 'new neighbors' haven't properly introduced themselves, so to speak, and are not getting the welcome mat.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

best way to avoid some conflict is rearranging the drift wood or arangements. this will make the BN loose its territory and try to establish a new one. at the same time giving the UC's a chance to gain territory. once all is said and done they should have their own semi territorys that will lessen the conflicts.
