How would you go on about feeding some BN's in a tank with a school of 5 clown loaches?

Because every sinking food I put in, even before the BN realise that those are food, they will all be taken by the clown loaches.... :%)

Hi,

I had the same problem with my BN and 4 yo-yo loaches.

Try putting in an algae wafer or two on one side of the tank to distract the loaches. While they're eating that, put another in on the opposite side for your BN. That should work.

More generally, though, look at your BNs belly - if it's full it means he's find SOMETHING to eat. I rarely see mine eat anything, but I often see long green/ brown strings of BN poop that shows he's getting along just fine.

One of my BNs lives with 4 yo-yos and 2 queens. In this case the BN pretty much rules the bottom of the tank, but I still break up the wafers and drop them in various areas of the tank. You could also try doing that after lights out.

Plecos are also known as poop machines. It's not only BN's, but all plecos.

I use a sinking food, as well as breaking up five algea wafers. I sprinkle the sinking food for half the length of the tank and the wafers in three diferent areas.

I hope this helps you.

Feed him as soon as you switch off the lights & feed in different places, not always in the same corner. My BN just swim on an Algae pellet & nobody else will get a piece, till he's finished.
