An Apple snail would work great. What other fish do you have in there? Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

If so I'm sure you know this that tiger barbs really get too large for that small of a tank. After saying that I don't think I would add anything as the tank is at capacity with just those 3 fish. If that's not what in this tank, then what is? Jim ![]() ![]() ![]() |

This is a fish that I would recommend for tanks 20 gallons and larger, and in groups of 8 or more. It shows you cannot believe anything an LFS tells you. Always do your own research. Maybe you could trade them to your LFS for something smaller and more suitable? A group of 6 pristella tetras or glowlights or cardinals or harlequin rasbora or something would be nice. I dont think so....but i guess its too late to trade them in.....their color is starting to blacken.......No more stripes. Will neons be good? Theyre only $1 at my LFS. Do fish get lonely?(not the schooling fish though). I might just want one fish that reaches a good size. ><> ~=!Vote Today!=~ <>< -----> View My Dragons <----- |

Pristellas, Glowlights, Cardinals, Neons, Rasboras, White Clouds, etc. Anything that grows to be 2 inches or less you could have a nice school of 6 in there. TBs are too big to have a proper school. I would not put any single fish larger than 3 inches in a 10g tank, its simply not big enough. If you go with little tiny fish, and heavily planted, you can stretch stocking limits a little. In my 10g tank I have 6 corydoras hasbrosus (max size 1.5 inches, usually average 1 inch) so 6 inches. I have 12 T. Espei (Lambchop rasbora) that average 3/4 of an inch size (9 inches), and then I have an Apple snail (temporary once he grows hes leaving to my 25g) and lots of ghost and cherry shrimps. The tank is planted densely and has 20G of filtration. Heres a pic ![]() Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

The plants are from left to right: Asian Ambulia (Limnophilia Sessiflora) front Cambomba purple stalk behind Moneywort Back right corner Dwarf Red Lotus front right corner foreground plants are Cryptocorne Wendtii "brown" and Java moss in behind. Then I have Lemna minor I think its called floating on top, Duckweed is the common name. The hood is a standard 10g incandescent, I took the two hot incandescent bulbs out and replaced them with ordinary spiral 23 watt flourescent bulbs, giving me 46 watts or 4.6 watts per gallon nominal. I fertilize 1x monthly alternating between Flourish Excel and Aquarium Stuff Companies Pond Plant Food. I use Jobes plant spikes for lush palms and ferns under the root feeding plants. The filtration is a Cascade 20 filter which has bioballs (maybe 15 in a small mesh bag), peat granular, and floss on top. I do a 35% water change once every 2-3 weeks, as NitrAtes have consistently tested zero for years. Isnt it beautiful? Its my favorite tank, and I espescially like the Lambchop Rasboras. You can see how small they are, even at near to full size. They will just get slightly more plump. Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |
