Neither ild say are full size, however is it too young to breed? And for when i do. Im not sure in what tank i should use. The Non-planted 10gal tank that just has a dwarf gourami or my main 30 gal highly filtered planted tank (neons, rasboras, black neons, and a rare 6" pleco). the larger tank will be populated with barbs, frogs and m/f dwarf gouramis later. thanks Judz |

Go with the 10G as a bare bottom tank but include a "breeding cave". The male will tend the eggs. You will need soft water of 5 or 6 dGH with temps of 82 to 84F. Dropping the temp through a water change will help to trigger spawning. Use a sponge filter in the tank to avoid sucking up fry. breeding caves __________ "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." researched from Steven Wright |

Try to meet the water conditions that Bob suggested & add a piece of Drift/Bog wood, so they'll be more at home. A sponge filter is a must, so you'll save as much fry as possible & i would use the 10 gal. tank & leave them on their own. http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
