They would require some caves to hide in and if you get a pair they might even breed in them. I would go for box filter depending on the size of your tank and whether you are going to add more fish into the tank. |

Yes they do require cover to breed, Another one I saw was a hollowed moulding up against the glass no water movement there and it was full of fry.
