Although they will go up to 75°F, they prefer it somewhat cooler - 68°F is a better temperature for them if that's what you have. However, you should check the identity carefully, as there may be species that like it warmer, though there aren't many of these if I recall correctly. Borneo Suckers are among the weird and wonderful Hillstream Loaches, the Family Balitoridae (which used to be called the Homalopteridae). Many of these prefer cooler temperatures than the 'typical' tropical aquarium setup, and also like fast flowing, well oxygenated water. They are, however, interesting curiosities that will provide quite a spectacle if given a setup to their liking! ![]() |
