Hey fpians,

My catfish is stuck in a net, my bro got stung by it already, right now he's resting in a bucket of water, still tangled.

Any tips/tricks on getting him untangled?

You can cut the net by a scissors & free the fish.

Always, when catching catfish, use a net that is very fine, like the baby brine shrimp nets. They come in all sizes. The catfish will not get stuck in these.

just a little, but not a whole lot...and take acidrain's advice get yourself a brine shrimp net/fry net...they really can't get caught in the material like they do in a normal net...or if worst comes to worst, I've been known many times to scoop fish that I know have bristles out with a big plastic cup...one of those you get when you order the largest drinks at fast food places, that can be reusedthey work well as well, though sometimes catching with it can be a painhml

Go and buy the finest net you can get. It would not do any harm to add the stress coat.

I catch most catfish with my hands, because I have seen them become horribly tangled in even the brine shrimp nets.

If you grab them with your index finger on their head behind the eyes and your thumb between the pectoral fins, they cannot sting/stab you.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.
