Hi everyone. I have a 120 gallon aquarium with two oscars, a jack dempsey, a synodontis catfish and a pictus catfish. I was wondering if I had enough room to get something like 2-3 clown loaches?

first question everybody is going to want to know is, how big is that pictus? because your going to want to make sure the clowns are to large for him to eat. other wise your just buying live food for them.

but myself, would say yes, maybe going with 4-5 as yes they do get large, but thats over a stretch of time.

Fish tanks are an expensive addiction

3 would be fine but you would really have to keep up on your water changes as they are all big waste producers. Also, pictus catfish like to be in groups.

Pictus can get large and will eat any fish it can fit into its mouth. They are certainly better in groups of 3-4 the same goes for CLs the more the merrier but also remember thay can grow large but it takes a long time if they are very happy and well fed they will grow about 1/2ins per year this is by no way a set rule some grow faster and others are just slow. Both fish love their caves and plenty of plant cover As the CLs get bigger they will eat certain plants Anubias is one for sure. They also love digging holes and moving gravel around.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
